Day 1 – Arrival in Athens
Upon arrival at Athens International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. In early afternoon, we meet with our leader photographer and proceed with a sightseeing photo walk at the old picturesque neighborhoods around Acropolis: Plaka and Thissio. At the end of the tour, we shall have an acquaintance welcome dinner at one of the finest urban taverns. Overnight stay in Athens.
Day 2 – Athens
In the morning, we start with a guided visit of Acropolis archaeological site and then we proceed with a food tasting (“koulouri”, loukoumas, Greek coffee, cold cuts & cheeses) through a photo tour in Athens down town: Monastiraki & Psiri with our leader photographer. Break for rest or lunch (optional) and in the afternoon, we have our 1st review of your shots. Balance of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Athens.
Day 3 – Nemea, Mycenae & Nafplio
Check out from hotel in Athens and we drive to mythical Nemea site, where we stroll in its amazing vineyards and visit one of its famous wineries, accompanied by a lunch of local flavors (optional). We continue with a guided visit to the nearby archaeological site of Mycenae, home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon, where we shall see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion’s Gate, the Royal Tombs, including Agamemnon Clytemnestra's, and the Treasury of Atreus, a magnificent 14th-century B.C. Dating back to the second century B.C., Mycenae was one of the major centers of Greek civilization and a military stronghold which dominated much of southern Greece. After Mycenae, we reach the 1st capital of Greece and one of the most picturesque cities of Greece, Nafplio. Balance of the day at leisure for wonderful strolls in city’s alleys. Overnight stay in Nafplio.
Day 4 – Nafplio
In the morning, we start our day by exploring Nafplio town, trying to capture the life of the town, climb up at its castle for panoramic shots. Nafplio occupies a knockout waterside location beneath the towering Palamidi fortress, and is graced with attractive narrow streets, elegant Venetian houses, neoclassical mansions and interesting museums. Balance of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Nafplio.
Day 5 – Epidaurus, Corinth & Athens
Enjoy your last few morning hours in Nafplio. Check out from hotel and drive to ancient Epidaurus. The UNESCO’S world heritage listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo's son Asclepius, the healer and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world. Epidaurus is renowned for its theatre, one of the best preserved classical Greek structures and is still used today due to its amazing acoustics. Travel along the amazing coastline of Saronic Gulf, taste local delicacies in one of the seaside taverns (optional) and continue for a guided visit to the Archeological site of Ancient Corinth before getting back to Athens for an overnight stay. Balance of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Athens.
Day 6 – Departure from Athens
Breakfast at the hotel, morning at leisure for your last minute shopping or strolling down the streets of Athens. Depending on your departure flight, transfer to Athens International Airport.
